There is a buzz in the film industry about Aamir Khan’s latest film 3 idiots. The movie is inspired by a book of Indian Author Chetan Bhagat.
The movie will be releasing in Theaters on Christmas and here is a new that Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Aamir khan has decided to release the movie on YouTube also. But it will be released on YouTube after 8 or 10 weeks. And they will be charging some amount of money from users. The Amount thy will be charging is yet to be released.
This is a very wise idea as India is on the top of the list when it comes to piracy. Releasing it on YouTube means it will be downloadable. Making it a paid download will help the film producers gain revenue even out of piracy, because the movie will be available on illegal download sites anyway.
According to an industry insider, producers need to keep abreast of modern technology and look at innovative avenues to rake in the moolah. “The only way to maximize revenues is to have multiple launch platform,” said an analyst.
