Bollywood saw some real extravagant weddings this year. From Shilpa Shetty’s high glam wedding to the simple wedding between Farhan Azmi and Ayesha Takia, here is a look at Bollywood stars who tied the knot.
The first to tie the knot was Ayesha Takia. She got married to her longtime boyfriend, hotelier Farhan Azmi. The marriage which was originally slated for December had been pushed to 2009 due to the Mumbai attacks. The bride looked dazzling in white, which was the theme for the wedding.
Amrita Arora was the next to tie the knot. She got married to Shakeel Ladak in a simple Christian wedding. It was a star studded ceremony which had her sister Mallaika Arora and Kareena Kapoor sharing each and every frame.
Shilpa Shetty’s extravagant wedding, was something the whole world looked forward to since she announced her engagement to Raj Kundra. Her wedding dress designed by Tarun Tahiliani hit the headlines. Though the wedding was a very private affair the reception which followed was thrown open to the film fraternity.
