Imtiaz Ali, if wasn’t of a shy nature, the Jab We Met director would have been wooing Priyanka Chopra as a poet in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Ek Batta Saat. Though, it turns out that only the thought of romancing Priyanka with his poems was sufficient for Imtiaz to build up cold feet. What a misfortune. Imtiaz Ali just would have been perfect for the part, with his curving, curly hair and slipshod look.
According to an inside birdie, Vishal was keen on taking Imtiaz Ali in the film and Imtiaz even agreed initially. After all who won’t want to work with Vishal? But the moment Vishal told Imtiaz that he will have to mouth quixotic shaiyaris to woo Priyanka, he straight away backed out.
Imtiaz clearly was feeling shy of being lovey-dovey with Priyanka on screen. Vishal even tried to convince Imtiaz that he is perfect for the role, but Imtiaz graciously turned down the offer.
